I hadn’t sorted out a 16 mile route for this weekend so I decided to go back to the Farnham woods trial and run laps. The carpark in the woods is pretty expensive – £3 for the day – so I parked on the road about a kilometer away and ran in. The place was deserted when I started and very cold, but after the first hour when the sun started coming up there were the dogwalkers and fishermen turning up around the lake. One woman was even jogging around the trail pushing her baby’s buggy with one hand and holding the lead of her dog in other.
The longer runs are started to have some nasty side effects though – click here to see.
